truck

  • Started in 1901 by Axel Roe (spouse Anna Roe) on 160 acres in Section 26, Lodi Township, Mower County, Minnesota where current headquarters of Roe Farms is located.  Roe Farms was primarily a row crop and beef/dairy cattle operation at this time.

  • Axel’s sons, Conrad Roe and Archibald “Archie” Roe (spouse Orena Roe), took over the row crop and beef/dairy cattle operation from Axel and expanded the farm’s land holdings.

  • Starting in the 1950s, Archibald “Archie” Roe’s son, Milo Roe (spouse Joan Roe), took over the row crop and beef/diary cattle operation from Conrad and Archie Roe and expanded the farm’s land holdings.

  • Starting in the 1970s, Milo Roe’s sons, Brian Roe (spouse Linda Abbott-Roe), Russ Roe (spouse Kathy Roe) and Rick Roe (spouse Jean Roe), took over the row crop and beef/dairy cattle operation and expanded the farm’s land holdings.  During this period, Roe Farms moved exclusively to a row crop and hog operation.  Rick Roe left the operation in the 2004, and Brian Roe retired from farming in 2021.

  • Starting in 2012, the present ownership group consisting of Russ Roe’s sons, Chris Roe (spouse Tina Roe), Tim Roe, and Mike Roe (spouse Amanda Roe) and Rick Roe’s sons, Chad Roe (spouse Dawn Roe) and James Roe (spouse Aubrey Roe) took over the row crop and swine operation and expanded the farm’s land holdings.  Ryan Goergen “Popcorn” (spouse Tiffany Goergen) joined Roe Farms in 2014 and has become a vital member of the leadership team.
